We keep our classes small in order to provide a more personalized learning experience. This allows us to be flexible throughout the course and to adapt to each student’s specific needs and learning style. On average our Advanced Course has 2 to 3 students with 4 being the maximum number.
Exact location depends on which 5 Adventures dives you choose but students typically visit a variety of dive sites including Lighthouse, Mashraba, the Canyon, and Blue Hole. Kindly note: dives at Canyon/Blue Hole is dependent on personal performance and visiting these 2 sites is up to the discretion of your Instructor.
We offer the Advanced Course with both SSI and PADI.
With either federation you are able to continue onto specialty/higher level courses with any other diving federation.
We start a new Advanced Course every Sunday and Friday.
Depending on demand and Instructor availability, we oftentimes can be flexible and open up other dates throughout the week. Please let us know if you are unable to start on a Sunday or Friday and we will try our best to accommodate your preferred dates.
You can find our current upcoming schedule and open course dates here.
What's Next?
There’s always something new to learn in diving but sometimes the amount of options can feel overwhelming; especially for a newly certified Advanced diver. Recommendations for an AOW diver with 14 dives will be different from an AOW diver with 100 dives. Or an AOW diver with a heavy interest in shallow coral ecosystems will likely prefer a different path than an underwater canyon enthusiast. We suggest reading this comprehensive guide of possible next steps that takes all these variables into account.
If you’re short on time, we also gathered 4 of our favorite diving suggestions for after your Advanced Course below.
