GLOBAL UNDERWATER EXPLORERS

Training divers to the highest standards

You can spot a GUE diver right away: streamlined profile underwater, horizontal diving posture, precise propulsion techniques… GUEs uniform way of training makes that no matter where you dive in the world, you all have the same equipment, same strategies and know how to work together.
The distinctive GUE methods produce some of the most safety conscious and team oriented divers in the world. The training pillars of Global Underwater Explorers are

  • Solid fundamental skills for all divers. All global underwater explorers
(cave, technical or recreational) must be proficient in their fundamental diving skills, which includes buoyancy, trim and teamwork.
  • Commitment to a common diving standard: Standard equipment configuration; Standard mixes of gases (same well-defined set of breathing gases, including Nitrox, Helium and Oxygen) and Team approach

GUE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

CORE COURSES

GUE Core Courses are the center of the educational system. These involve evaluation, ratings, and has to be taken in sequence where a diver has to pass one level before moving to the next.

Core Courses are divided in 3 main areas: Recreational, Technical & Caves. And in each of the areas is structured in 3 levels:

  • LEVEL 1: Introductory or learning phase
  • LEVEL 2: Experience base program
  • LEVEL 3: Expert or exploration level

PRIMERS

Are a variety of auxiliary training, very much like workshops. The primers cover a huge variety of educations and topics… from simple ones such as the use of drysuit or doubles… to complex scientific skills like for example photogrammetry.

Primers are short 1 or 2 day educational programmes without evaluation. They are designed to help the diver learn and develop a solid foundation in a specific field.  Primers are an optional help to accelerate and diver skill development.

SEPARATE PROGRAMS

GUE offers courses separated from the core curriculum. These are programs in some areas that are too elaborate to include in the core classes.

The specialised programs are usually required to work with unique equipment (e.g. rebreathers or DPVs) or master a set of particularly complex skills (e.g. scientific diver).

They are more structured courses than the Primers, and require an evaluation with a pass criteria.

GUE courses at Scuba Seekers

Fundamentals is a course for divers that want to discover what GUE is about.  And as the course name suggest, you will learn all the basic GUE fundamental skills required to be competent and comfortably dive underwater. It is the groundwork from which to build on.

Your underwater training starts in Recreational Diving. The GUE REC courses is where students learn all the foundational skills they need to be safe & confident divers. Each course will strengthen their diving skills and teach them new ones.

Maximise your diving experience with a great selection of workshops to choose from:
New Gear (e.g. doubles or drysuit)
Practical Skills (e.g. rescue or navigation)
Scientific techniques (e.g. photogrammetry)

Your first step into the challenging world of Technical Diving. You will learn to plan & execute  decompression dives using a single stage/decompression cylinder…
and over all to think like a technical diver.

Tech 2 allows experienced technical divers to take their technical diving to the next level and expand their knowledge and training to suit the challenges and risks associated with deep technical dives.

CCR 1 is your introduction course to close circuit rebreather diving. Fair warning, no matter how experienced or confident you dive on open circuit, learning to dive on a rebreather, is like starting all over again.

The pinnacle of our training at Scuba Seekers. A GUE CCR 2 diver have it all: a robust set of skills, a high end level of communication and team work and the right tool for deep diving exploration.
