SSI’s Closed-Circuit Rebreather (CCR) Diving program is the first step for Open-Circuit divers to cross over to the world of rebreather diving.
This course covers essential topics including rebreather dive planning, in-water skills, problem-solving strategies, and emergency management techniques. You’ll also develop confidence in assembling your unit, conducting thorough pre-dive checks, and handling potential system failures.
This is the entry level course for divers looking to get certified on either the rEvo, JJ-CCR, or Divesoft Liberty (Backmount or Sidemount) units using an air diluent for no-decompression dives up to 30m.

Upon completion of the course, students will earn the SSI CCR Diving certification with allows for CCR diving using an air diluent to a max depth of 30m
Students Must:
- be certified at the SSI XR Nitrox / TDI Advanced Nitrox (or equivalent) level
- have logged at least 50 dives

provide a Medical Participant Questionnaire, approved and signed by a licensed medical practitioner based on a diving medical examination and dated within one year of the training completion date, prior to any in-water activity
All dive training for this course will take place directly in the sea in one of our protected bays at Lighthouse and/or Mashraba.
Maximum of 2 students on rEvo or 3 students on JJ-CCR / Divesoft Liberty
