SSI Hypoxic Trimix (80 – 100m)
Hypoxic Trimix
Acquire the necessary skills to safely perform decompression dives utilizing trimix diving techniques and procedures. With the SSI Hypoxic Trimix course, you will learn how to effectively manage and use a minimum of three stage cylinders for travel and decompression gas in conjunction with your twinset diving setup.
By using hypoxic trimix breathing gases, you will plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 100 meters.
Hypoxic Trimix 80m certification
This certification option is the same as the 100-meter certification, with one exception: if conditions do not permit, or the students cannot make the deepest dives, divers may become certified to dive up to 80 meters after the first 4 open water training dives.

Students must:
- be certified as SSI Technical Extended Range (Air or Trimix) or equivalent
And logged at least:
- 100 total dives
- 30 dives deeper than 30m
- 10 dives deeper than 45m
- 20 dives requiring staged deco with at least 2 gas switches (not including training dives)
Medical Sign-off
- students must provide a Medical Participant Questionnaire, approved and signed by a licensed medical practitioner based on a diving medical examination and dated within one year of the training completion date, prior to any in-water activity
Initial training will take place directly in the sea in one of our protected bays at Lighthouse and/or Mashraba. Once you gain control of body and equipment you may visit different dive sites at the Instructor’s discretion.
We keep our classes small in order to provide a more personalized learning experience. Our SSI Hypoxic Trimix course has an average of 2 students with 3 being the max.
