IANTD – CCR Courses
International Association of Nitrox & Technical Divers
IANTD
IANTD is the oldest federation running technical diver training, and it was the first to introduce enriched air nitrox to recreational diving. Since then, it has promoted the use of mixed-gases (nitrox, trimix) instead of compressed air. As federation, IANTD has pioneer training NITROX , gas blending, then technical, Trimix and rebreather programs.
Join a IANTD CCR course at Scuba Seekers and open up to a whole new dimension in diving, with the ultimate in gas-efficient “no bubbles – silent” diving. We offer you the opportunity to learn and dive on JJ, Inspiration, Evolution and Liberty units.
Recreational CCR Diver
CCR without the complications of decompression diving.
No bubbles, technology and fun! IANTD Recreational CCR (RCCR) will teach your the basic use of rebreather and allow you long multilevel non stop dives. Depending on your previous certifications and experience, you can have different options and exploration depths:
RCCR COURSE: basic CCR diving with no decompression, up to 21m. And if you are already IANTD Deep Diver or equivalent that limit expands to 30m.
RCCR DEEP COURSE: For those who wish to explore a little bit deeper can extend their no-deco limits to 40m.
RCCR MIXED GAS COURSE: You can also extend your limit to 40m but using diluent with helium to help reduce any levels of narcosis.

Tek Lite Programs: Adv EANX CCR & ART CCR
The starting point for CCR diving with decompression.
The TEK LITE programs will add deco stops and increase the operational range for your CCR dives. Both of the tek lite courses will cover decompression and physiology, dive planning and environmental factors of long dives plus extended knowledge in the use of EANx. On your training dives, you will further develop your own diving skills and learn some new ones; especially those related to Open Circuit bailout ascents with deco.
Hypoxia, hyperoxia and hypercapnia drills are also rigorously explored.
You can choose between 2 courses, depending the diluent gas to be used on your CCR unit:
ADVANCED EANx CCR: CCR with air as diluent for CCR dives to a max depth of 42m.
ADVANCED RECREATIONAL TRIMIX CCR: CCR with a weak trimix as diluent for CCR dives to a max. depth of 45m.

Advanced EANx CCR:= TDI MOD1 (TEC) – Air Diluent Deco CCR
Advanced Recreational Trimix CCR = TDI MOD1 (TEC) – Helitrox Diluent Deco CCR
CCR Normoxic Trimix Diver
Technical CCR: up to 60m with extended deco
Normoxic trimix is a gas mix with a PO2 at the surface of 0.18. Normoxic mixes are to be used in the 30-60m depth range. Planning dives with this kind of gas-mixes is a big step forward in diver responsibility.
IANTD CCR Normoxic Trimix Diver course is designed to train divers in the safe use of the CCR for dives using normoxic helium-based gas mixtures for diluent and stages. Topics included in this course are:
- Rebreather CO2 function and monitoring,
- Physiological aspects of enhancing decompression
- Dive management and OC gas planning
- Self rescue, unit trouble shooting and other potentially dangerous circumstances.
* CCR TRAINING PROGRAM EQUIVALENCIES = TDI MOD2 – Mixed Gas CCR
CCR Trimix Diver
Technical CCR: Deep Diving Exploration
With the IANTD CCR Trimix Diver course you will be able to safety plan and perform dives up to 100m using trimix mixes as diluent.
Hypoxic trimix is a helium-gas mix with a PO2 less than 0.18 at the surface. Hypoxic mixes are to be used in extreme deep diving, as a bottom gas only.
The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for advanced mixed gas diving on a CCR and to develop even further your skills for deep technical diving.
