CCR DIVER 1

GUE CCR Diver 1

Closed circuit rebreathers are an amazing tool for great adventures. As an experienced technical diver, the use of a rebreather will allow you to dive deeper, stay longer and get closer to marine life.

Rebreathers are a bit more complicated than open circuit. That is why their use can only be considered by technical divers in the GUE system. Even so, no matter how experienced or confident you dive in an open circuit, to learn to use a rebreather, you will have to start from the beginning again.

GUE CCR 1:

CCR 1 will cover the following subjects among others:

  • Basic rebreather technologies and the pros and cons of CCR diving
  • GUE-approved closed-circuit rebreather configuration
  • How to manage, maintain and dive with a CCR unit
  • Learn to access and isolate failing parts with minimal gas loss
  • Pre-dive planing, good buoyancy and trim
  • Switching and maintaining the desired pO2 setpoints throughout a dive (electronically & manually)
  • Bailout and sharing gas procedures

The GUE CCR Diver 1 course is an introduction / transition course, where you will learn everything you need to start diving with closed circuit rebreathers. It is a complement to the organisations efforts to remain consistent throughout its training curriculum by allowing a gradual transition from open circuit to closed circuit rebreather, allowing divers to use the same procedures and to rely on their muscle memory when most needed.

GUE CCR 1 IN DAHAB:

This course requires a min. of 7 dives. The initial training dives will take place in Dahab bay training area.  Once you gain control of body and equipment you will be able to visit other different dive sites.
