TDI MOD 1 – Air Diluent CCR
TDI AIR DILUENT CCR
This is the basic entry level certification for Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) for Recreational Divers without a previous technical diving qualification. TDI Air Diluent Diver course will teach you techniques to dive with a rebreather safely:
- Benefits and hazards while rebreather diving
- Proper procedures for diving on a CCR inside the recreational limits (30m)
- Conduct CCR dives with air as a diluent.
This is the entry level course for Divers wanting to use a CCR unit for Air Diving. You will learn all the skills required to complete No Decompression Dives on an specific rebreather model. Such skills include:
- Unit preparation, configuration, basic maintenance and operation
- Dive planning
- Buoyancy
- Drills and Rebreather Techniques
And you will learn all of that and more in the warm, pristine waters of the Red Sea. Your adventure will start in the sheltered Masbat bay, between the Lighthouse, Bannerfish bay or challenging your self in the Buoyancy Park. But you will also get the opportunity to explore beyond the bay and dive some of the great Dahab dive sites.
Rebreathers are not all the same. That’s why TDI rebreather courses and certifications are linked to the use of one specific rebreather model. At Scuba Seekers you can choose between: JJ CCR, rEvo and Liberty.
UPGRADE FROM RECREATIONAL TO TECHNICAL
Once you are a TDI Air Diluent CCR Diver, you can upgrade your depth Qualification while training to perform formal decompression dives on the CCR unit.
During a 5 day course, you will gradually increase your depth experience and learn the basics of Decompression Diving with Rebreathers. At the end of the course you will be a certified TDI Air Diluent CCR Decompression Procedures Diver.
Price = €750 (* Certification fee not included)
UNIT CROSS-OVER COURSE
All the TDI courses are linked to the use of a specific rebreather model. The Unit Cross-over course allows certified rebreather divers to cross-over to the use of a different model of CCR rebreather.
