Gabr El Bint (Day Trip)

Gabr El Bint

Unspoiled coral, a local favourite

Lying south in the protected area of Nabq, Gabr El Bint is a local favourite with an extensive coral reef ecosystem unspoiled by tourism. The underwater landscape is dominated by a splendid coral wall with fanning gorgonians and is home to a shallow lagoon ripe with sea life. The dive sites in and around Gabr El Bint are reached via a large boat, and all dives are conducted straight from the boat.

Our Itinerary
  • 7:30am – meet at Scuba Seekers
  • 8:00am – transport to jetty to board the boat
  • 8:30am – welcome talk, boat orientation, and gear setup
  • 9:00am – leave from jetty
  • 10:00am – dive site briefing and first dive
  • 12:00pm – dive site briefing and second dive
  • 2:00pm – lunch
  • 3:00pm – head back to the jetty
  • 4:30pm – arrive back at Scuba Seekers

Once a trip has been confirmed, payment is due and non-refundable.

Please note: while we run the trip to Gabr El Bint ourselves, with Scuba Seekers dive guides and customers, we use a local partner to arrange the boat. We give them a window of dates and they let us know when the boat is running and available. They cannot confirm the actual dates until a few days before the trip, as they are also working with other partners and have a lot of variables that affect their trips. The trip is therefore subject to boat availability. We will do our best to make it happen but in the end we cannot guarantee the trip will run over your dates, as we do not have the final say.

We require a check-dive (or full Refresh if it has been more than 6 months since your last dive) on our house reef at least one day prior to the trip, to ensure all weights and equipment are adjusted and working properly, as once onsite at Gabr El Bint there is no way to turn back to adjust or fix anything.
