Ras Abu Galoum (Day Trip)

Ras Abu Galoum (Day)

Desert mountains, coral gardens

Situated north of the Blue Hole, the protected area of Ras Abu Galoum National Park is sandwiched between desert mountains and sparkling coastline. The dive sites are known for their rich coral gardens and abundance of marine life. We depart from the dive centre in the morning and take a small speedboat to a Bedouin village inside the park, where we set up camp for the day to rest between dives, all of which are done from the shore.

  • 7:00am – meet at Scuba Seekers
  • 7:15am – leave dive centre, transport to boat (Blue Hole)
  • 7:45am – onto boat
  • 8:15am – arrive in Abu Galoum
  • 9:00am – breakfast (optional)
  • 9:30am – welcome talk, orientation, and gear setup

Kindly note, we require a check-dive (or full Refresh if it has been more than 6 months since your last dive) on our house reef at least one day prior to the trip, to ensure all weights and equipment are adjusted and working properly, as once onsite at Abu Galoum there is no way to turn back to adjust or fix anything.
