Ras Abu Galoum (Overnight)

Desert mountains, coral gardens, a night under the stars

Situated north of the Blue Hole, the protected area of Ras Abu Galoum National Park is sandwiched between desert mountains and sparkling coastline. The dive sites are known for their rich coral gardens and abundance of marine life. We depart from the dive centre in the morning and take a small speedboat to a Bedouin village inside the park, where we set up camp for the day to rest between dives, all of which are done from the shore.

Our Itinerary – Overnight Stay

7:00am – meet at Scuba Seekers
7:15am – leave dive centre, transport to boat (Blue Hole)
7:45am – onto boat
8:15am – arrive in Abu Galoum
9:00am – breakfast (optional)
9:30am – welcome talk, orientation, and gear setup
10:00am – dive site briefing and first dive
12:00pm – dive site briefing and second dive
2:00pm – lunch
3:00pm – optional third dive

You have the option after lunch of a third dive, or you can relax before dinner, which is also included. A night dive is also available on request. You will stay overnight in a small Bedouin hut close to the beach. Departure is the following morning at 11:00am, and if you would like to fit in an early morning dive, that can also be arranged, as can an earlier departure depending on your preference. Breakfast is included on the second morning.

Once a trip has been confirmed, payment is due and non-refundable.

Kindly note, we require a check-dive (or full Refresh if it has been more than 6 months since your last dive) on our house reef at least one day prior to the trip, to ensure all weights and equipment are adjusted and working properly, as once onsite at Abu Galoum there is no way to turn back to adjust or fix anything.
